What is the Easy Pack compostable bag?
Our range of compostable bags is made with corn starch, PLA and PBAT. We use non-toxic inks and glue to provide you with a natural alternative to traditional plastic-based courier bags.
Our compostable range is certified to comply with the International Standards for home and commercial composting. EN13432 / AS4736 / AS5810

How do we compost them?
To compost them at home, it’s best to cut them up, remove all sticker and place in your compost bin. These will completely break down within 90 days in a compostable environment.
What happens if they end up in the landfill?
The best part is that they still break down (with no waste and no methane production) in the landfill. It takes about 2 years rather than 90 days. In contrast, traditional plastic shipping mailers take 400 years or more to break down and release deadly methane gas into the atmosphere.
What happens in the water?
They are water-resistant but if they are placed in water for a long time, they will break down there too. It takes longer to break down in the water because of the cooler temperatures.
Are the white strips covering the adhesive also compostable?
The white strips are not currently certified compostable so they should be discarded. However, once your customers receive the mailers, the white strips covering the adhesive have already been removed, leaving a 100% compostable mailer for your customers to home or commercially compost.
Can I get an exchange or refund on any of the products?
We do not offer an exchange or refund for any of the products.
